KLM has made further adjustments to its Summer 2012 timetable:

- Tokyo is back up to 10x weekly after a temporary reduction following the earthquake of March last year.
- Luanda is facing start-up difficulties. KLM was initially planning to start this new service late November 2011, than delayed to early March 2012, and has now decided to start operations on 27 March 2012. In addition the schedule has changed, to a pattern similar to all other European airlines with the aircraft (now A330-200 not B777-200) on ground from early morning 06.20am to late evening 21.00pm. This could be to avoid crew lay-overs in Angola.

Now in the reservation systems:

- dep. 13:10 AMS - arr. 20:40 LAD KL 0581 B777-200 until 25 March - Monday
- dep. 13:20 AMS - arr. 21:55 LAD KL 0583 B777-200 until 25 March - Friday
- dep. 21:45 AMS - arr. 05:20 LAD KL 0581 A330-200 from 26 March - Tue & Thu

- dep. 01:15 LAD - arr. 09:45 AMS KL 0584 B777-200 until 25 March - Saturday
- dep. 20:00 LAD - arr. 05:45 AMS KL 0582 A330-200 from 26 March - Wed & Fri

Singapore Airlines has released a new Summer 2012 schedule, which includes the introduction of the B777-300ER on daily SIN-AMS-SIN flights, starting July 1st 2012:

- dep. 11:15 AMS - arr. 05:45 SIN SQ 323 B777-300ER daily

KL will suspend Miami for the summer season only. Flights will recommence on 28OCT2012 operating X26 and using the MD-11.

A couple of changes in the slot request list wich might be interesting:

- Emirates: Still 2x daily from 1st of July, but the afternoon flight now to be operated by A380 from 01aug (daily)
- Malaysia: No A380 here, the daily B744 is even downgraded to a daily B777.
- Korean Air: From 03jul onwards, it looks like the Madrid tag on will be dropped and service will be increased to 4x weekly with an extra flight on Sundays
- Air Algerie: Not seen here yet, it looks like they might operate a weekly seasonal service with B737-600 on Sundays between 24jun and 16sep.

Everything still being far from certain, but it might be a nice indication...

At this moment the status of MH is tricky (if nothing changes they end backrupt in Q2 2012!) so therefor changes are needed so there for the 747-pax fleet will be disappear in 2012 and then the 777 comes next in line
Given the lack of money available the A380 deliveries will face delays and this will affect the availability for future SPL-operations (as LHR is first and SPL comes 3rd/4th in line)

Denk dat de reserveringsystemen nog niet zijn aangepast: in het vlootplanningsysteem komt de KL0627/8 in Winter2012 niet meer voor, dus geen seizoensvluchten...

Malaysia Airlines will reduce capacity on KUL-AMS-KUL by replacing B744 with B772 starting 05MAR2012. With all the changes taking place at MH time will tell if they will ever serve AMS with the A380.

Isn't EK already using the maximum or near maximum allowed frequency on AMS-DXB (passenger and cargo combined)? If so, how do they plan to operate an extra frequency and isn't the A380 a bit premium heavy for AMS?

As both airlines have not confirmed A380 ops to AMS, we will wait and see.

Niet te hard van stapel lopen. Dit betreft slechts aangevraagde slots. Een slot betekend niet dat men ook daadwerkelijk komt of gaat.
Daarbij lijkt me en een 773 en een 388 op 1 dag wel wat erg veel van het goede
