A little bit late, but I think at this cold winter days now a little bit summer feeling is a good variety. In August I could enjoy a nice day trip to Emmen in the heart of Switzerland. All Swiss F/A-18 fighter squadrons were based there for some weeks due to the closed bases Payerne and Meiringen. So a lot of traffic, perfect summer weather and a nice time with some friends.
As we arrived the Hornets last chance checks were in progress
Unfortunately the first wave took off the wrong direction
But the Tigers did it right
Second Hornet wave in the morning also
Local based PC-6 Porter. Two of them were flying all the day for paratroopers
Returning of the Jets
In the afternoon we used an other spot. Rare F-5F doubleseater
Fightersquadron 17 special bird
PC-7
F-5F with Patrouille Suisse Commander Dani Hösli and another PS - Pilot
All in all a very nice day in the beautiful suisse. Would like to hear your opinion

Switzerland never bores, nice set.
BTW, what do you mean with "wrong direction of take off"? I like the shot with the vapour trails and the heathaze blurring the background. No serials readable, so what?
Keep 'm coming!
Hans.

Nice shots, i really like them.
for improvement i think there is something little to improve with your edditing. not sure but i think is to much black or contrast.

Re: F/A-18 Hornets & Tigers at Emmen
Thanks, we made the best of the situation. As we arrived, we thought the F/A-18 would start the "other" direction due to the wind. We would take some taxi shots in the moring light, which was amazing at 8am. It was very interesting, that they chanced the runway in use more or less for every movement.Hans Rolink wrote:Switzerland never bores, nice set.

And who cares about the f.. serials?
Thanks for your feedback. That very helpful, because i edited the photos on my new monitor. So I should do some fine adjustment.FISHER01 wrote:Nice shots, i really like them. for improvement i think there is something little to improve with your edditing. not sure but i think is to much black or contrast.
