It seems that Canon has merged the EOS-1D and EOS-1Ds series, according to several announcements. It makes me wonder if this means the end of APS-H sensor formats (=1.3x crop). That would be a disappointment to me, although I do understand the move from a commercial point of view.

Nope, not yet....

I just watched the advertorial video at http://cpn.canon-europe.com/content/pro ... r_movie.do and noticed that the EOS-1D X has a double CF-card slot. That's a new thing for Canon, as they used to have both CF and SD slot in their EOS-1D series (one slot each). Two slots is great, but I'm not sure if I'm happy with 2 x CF instead of 1 xCF + 1 x SD.

Estimated Retail Price $6800. That would convert to Euro 5000.....

But will this be the " adviesprijs" or true street price??

Wat was de retailprijs geadviseerd voor de 1dm4?

Prefereer een 1D4 met APS-H boven een full frame. Geen update dus, blijf de 1D4 gebruiken, met de 5D2.

Iemand iets gelezen over met f/8 wel scherpstellen. Ik heb alles op dpreview door genomen maar kwam niks tegen.

Ben benieuwd of er een nieuwe 5d komt met deze sensor of dat die wel richting de 30 a 40 megapixel. Aangezien Kanon wel graag veel megapixel in die dingen stopt.

@Leeuwarden wat mis je in deze camera zodat het niet kriebelt.

Kan het nog niet goed overzien maar mijn eerste reactie ... :?

Ze (Canon) flikken het weer. Weer een nieuwe sensor met slechts 18mp. Had wat meer mogen zijn. Ben zeer benieuwd naar de kwaliteit.
12bps zit ik niet op te wachten. Wordt nu al gek na een dagje vliegtuigjes fotograferen van de hoeveelheid uit te zoeken platen.
Hogere ISO minder ruis. Ook niets voor mij, ben een mooi weer fotograaf ... en filmen doe ik wel met mij videocamera.

Ben nog wat sceptisch dus :mrgreen: en sluit me vooralsnog bij RogerS aan.
