Oldtimer fly-in/Photoflying days in Zoersel

This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Re: Oldtimer fly-in/Photoflying days in Zoersel
Roel,
The P-40 should have stayed all Sunday but unfortunately had to leave very very early because of a cooling problem. It couldn't risk staying until the temperature rose. The French Skyraider was still there all Sunday and left at 17:00 with a very nice low-pass.
We'll start planning shortly and will take your comment on the website into account!
Cheers,
Mickey

If you have visit the APCK Fly-In by Air, there wasn't any problemStratofreighter wrote:Less "freedom to move" than last year (no airside access for most people), but as the piccies show still a GREAT event!
Don't worry, Be happy.Stratofreighter wrote:Another edition next year
The combined APCK Fly-In and PhotoFlying Days, have the ANNUAL intention (and potential) to be the GREATEST Fly-In within the BeNeLux
Don't forget, it's for free (no landingsfees, no admission etc).
As with any Fly-In, pilots come & go and 'most' pilots have a family live toowarthog64 wrote:I thought it was a bit disapointing (was there sunday) because I was expecting the mustang, P-40 and the trojans.
Did't know that they were there only saturday.
I checked the website, and could't find anything that they were there only saturday...
The best day to visit the APCK Fly-In is 'always' saturday

As organisor of the event I’d like to thank you all for being with us on this very long and unforgettable weekend. Our young team appreciates all the comments here, and on forums troughout Europe.
But to see things in the real perspective I’d like to give you some correct information rightaway:
1. ‘less freedom to move’ , absolutely right. It was clearly mentioned on the websites ( in 4 languages ) that there would be no spotting facilities. The guys & girls with the fluo jackets were Academy photographers.
2. We DO NOT! have the annual intention for this event, and we were the greatest fly-in already in the Benelux ( and beyond.. ) with around 250 registered aircraft! Now that is really a lot and far more then expected. However, the concept could move already in 2012 to Austria or Switzerland.
3. The best day is with great certainty NOT Saturday ( maybe with a regular fly-in, but even then it depends on the weather ) Don’t forget that you had 3 events combined, and 2 of them were private. However the photographers and interested aviationfans who had mailed me in advance did have acces to the airfield on Friday as well and could enjoy the F-16 flybys ( 3 times! During the day ), the heli arrivals, the second Skyraider, the Flamant and a lot more.
Greetz, Eric
FYI: for anyone who really missed it, our new book “Aviation Photography!” was premiered at the event ( oh yeah, that’s for sure shameless publicity )

I nearly forgot to answer you... I have a 580EX II flash, and I wasn't using the strobe function, I was pushing the pilot button on the back of the flash... simples!amarx wrote:Is that the 1st or II type of the 580ex?
