Question Brize Norton 19th July (2010!)
Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |
Question Brize Norton 19th July (2010!)
All,
After Departures Day at Fairford we paid a visit to Brize Norton. Around 1815Lt (19th of July) these nice birds
came overhead the field to the north-west. Anyone spotted them, or has more info?
Thanks allready,
Arco

Looks like two AS.365's / EC.155's.
Can't find two helicopters with these colours in the UK civil helicopter register.

Hi all,
You have seen two out of four Dauphins of the UK Army 8Flt from Credenhill.
Serials range from ZJ780 to ZJ783. Small white serial is on the aft section of the tail boom.
These are the replacements for the old A109's.
Sorry I can't help you any further.....
Greetz,

What I think he means, and hope for you, is 2011. That means the remaining two would have been the two you saw. Or am I missing something?

Re: Question Brize Norton 19th July
So sorry for my mistake, in my enthusiasm to help I never noticed the year of the pic, to clarify 780 and 783 both arrived at Barton 18th July 2011.
Re: Question Brize Norton 19th July
Another mistake, it was 781 and 783 that arrived at Barton 18th July, 780 arrived on the 21st July, going back to school !!.
