Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Erwin S,

I'm very curious.

A I see it is not our hobby anymore? We just asked you something, nothing more. Only it seems it's very difficult to answer normally.
You just could say that these were taken airside.......

If it's illegal(not saying that it is) then you could be jeapordizing the hobby for all the rest of us...PH-DPK wrote:Illegal or not.....I do my job, take care of your own hobby

*edit* : Never said anything about terrorism, what I meant was that there are allready some spots closed. By going to places where it isn't allowed to go, police most likely check more on our where abouts.
He is not giving an answer on where these pics are taken, so that raises questions.
Nevertheless the pics are very nice !

If he gets arrested on suspicion of a terrorism (most likely) that does not mean that all spotters will be arrested.

Re: EHAM 30-06-11
I agree with that, i guess that i know where the mentioned spot is, but imo i think the maker of this lovely pics has permission to operate on airside.
So enough for now and back to topic please !

I have no clue what your problem is?? I'm not saying anything about taking pictures on airside is illegal i just asked you where you took them?
(By the way nice shot this Blackhawk)
You are some how a kind of irritated? What's the problem? Are you scared that PH-DPK is taking better pictures than you on airside?
Come on! His pictures are nice and please stop the whole discussion about legal or illegal. Other spotters don't have to think about that everyone knows how it works and otherwise the Police and KMar will correct you if you are wrong
Have a nice evening and please let those nice pictures come.
Ciao Ralph

Re: EHAM 30-06-11
Nice pics from all of you. Wanna give my opinion in this topic anyway;
ErwinS is asking in a normal way what spot Daan is using. But a normal answer can't be given apparently. Only smilies like 'funny post' etc. can be given here. No, I think it's not about being jealous about picture quality and I think it's not the question if it is illegal or not.
As far as I know this spot (line up 36L, discussed a lot about), this spot is nowadays not reachable anymore on public terrain, so that's why ErwinS is asking what spot is used. The 'old' public location (is it open again?), airside road along 18R-36L (if so, just answer Daan, or is there a reason not to tell us?), or is there a completely unknown location (any reason not to share with us?).
I think ErwinS is asking a valid question, but does not get a normal reply from several members here

Excellent answer Skycruiser!!
Couldnt't agree more...................and it saves me a lot of time ,to write an answer
Very, very strange discussion however about legal or not.
Does it matter?
If a photographer wants to take the risk of getting a fine, or even worse....who cares?
If I tell you, how many pics on JPnet or Anet of mine are taken from highly doubtfull places, you're getting red ears perhaps.
I don't care.
For me, only the results are important. The risks are on me.

Well, i have to agree with this post to a certain level. And thats the tone... Just a thought:skycruiser wrote:Nice pics from all of you. Wanna give my opinion in this topic anyway;

Following is my interpretation of what's going on in general... So therefor no offense to anyone, it's my view only. Offcourse this can be split off to the correct subforum if moderators feel like it..
In a years time Scramble turned from a sharing forum into a "contest" forum with a "look at how good I am" kinda feel.
Sharing certain info nowadays is apparently a PM only thing and giving feedback is smiley regulated.
People get burned for not sharing information in time like the complete discussion about this years Turkish Airshow. I mean WTF?
New forum possibilities are burned down in a few weeks because of lack of constructive critisism and very little respect.
A lot of negativity can be found in lots of posts which I am reluctant to look up but not contain the 'right stuff'
-These are a few highlights- there are so many examples...
A lot of people have disappeared or are slowly disappearing from Scramble, or are read-only members with an occasional post which I think is a very sad thing.
At least for me this negative, tiring atmosphere is making me visit Scramble lesser (<=correct English? sorry, feeding the baby so my brain is 1% online..)
I hope I'm the only one in this which means it's my problem and everyone can continue as they do Think about it, just thought I'd share this info without going into this to deep..

Re: EHAM 30-06-11
I really like to post photo's here, when having a good feeling that I've made shots which are worthy to show here. Replies like the one made
by Tom are for me a confirmation that these photo's are actually good and appreciated here (thnks for that by the way ). When people are
critical on them, it's perhaps even better, so I can work on some improvement.
It should be the photo's which are discussed here, like quality, composition, settings, equipment and off course: locations (and I don't mean
whether a spot is legal or not). Let's share and learn from each other, and make this forum fun again.
Oh... and Andras... it's "less". I hope I've filled in the nescessary %% while you are feeding the baby! .
Happy spotting everybody, and keep up the good work and show those topphoto's of yours!
Cheers,
Andres
