Funny to see that the Qatar M2000 flew with French camo fueltanks
Re: Souda Air Base, Greece in April
Great stuff at Souda, 'thanks' to Khadaffi. Did you have to keep a low profile when taking these pictures, no problems with the police?

Holy malony some cool catches mate
Those Qatari aircraft are rarely seen posted anywhere apart from the C-17 obviously. Would love to see that by the way Interesting that they also brought a chopper.
How many Qatari Mirages did you see there?
E.

Hi Robert,
Nice cathes!
I'm wondering a few things. As I'm going to Crete end of August, I want to try spotting at Souda (hoping the Qatar AF will still be present then):
1. Were these pics all taken outside the fence and if so, from wich position did you take these pics (coordinates)?
2. No troubles with military or local police, or weren't you checked at all?
TIA!

With #1 as the absolute winner, I like this whole set. However, they appear very dark here, I suspect the monitor you process them on is set too bright.

Hi Robert,
Great, great pics. So where you on the base when you said you were there for 3 days of work or were the pics taken from outside the perimeter.
Re the French camo tanks, the French and Qataris are flying missions together, at times going in as pairs of one Mirage 2000 each from the two air arms.

@seaweed;
It was Arno 01 who had been there for 3 days, not Robert
Arno 01 posted the below images from Souda (link) taken from inside a commercial flight:
