In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

And how did they do this then, flying formation of Soviet AF 76's over Europe and hope that they won't be noticed?

It was fitted with glazing under the nose for use by a navigator, handy for getting map references and for observing parachute cargo drops.

Until recently, Russian navigators performed their job "à vue", (with eyes and maps!!!)...
but the Il-76 could too carry 500 kg bombs ont external hardpoints !!!!!

nice shots Nusty :),

did they start him up after push back or did they tow him halfway and let him start there?

(sorry if stupid question but they towed it also in position) so just wondering :wink:

Aircrafts to and from the Romeo's are instructed to shutdown the engines before entering and starting up the engines when clear of the Romeo platform due to construction work.

Thanks, yeah I saw it myself while I was along side the fence with the IL-76 Arrival.. any idea how long this construction is going to take?
