Well...that depends on what you consider 'bad'....Looking at the picture there seems to be quite a big crack on top of the fuselage (above the letter 'Y'). I am absolutely no technician but if this crack is structural, it seems bad enough to me.

Look also at the nose section, seems that this frame is economical beyond repair due to some cracks of the fuselage.

The state of damage is absolutely not visible on this pic. I've seen much more damaged Fokkers which are repaired. Unless you have x-ray eyes and standing besides the Fokker 50, you can't tell the state of damage. Let's wait for further investigation, probably done by Fokker Aircraft Servives.

According to a spokesperson of RTM Airport it is officially a write off.

The damage looks similar to LN-RND´s of SAS, which had a similar incident in the past. This F50 was patched up, ferried to Woensdrecht and repaired to fly some more years. Only retired last year. So, probably, structurally it can be salvaged, although no two damages are the same, and damage assesement will have to be done to identify the possibilities.

Having said that, the fact that F50's are parked in numbers left and right, and even good airframes are scrapped, it is more likely this one is done. Insurance will cover the damage, and a replacement is readily available, and most likely cheaper then the pay-out. But that is speculating a bit.
VLK and VLX are still sitting and waiting for a better future in MST.

would it be cheaper to transfer this frame by road to Woensdrecht, than to repair it to "ffc" and fly it to ?
