There are currently both Martin-Baker meteors (WA638 & WL419) at Cranwell ahead of this weekends celebration of the 70th anniversary of the first flight of a British jet aircraft there on May 15th 1941.
The anniversary will be marked by a private reception at the RAF College for former colleagues of Sir Frank Whittle from the time, and the meteors will perform a pairs flypast of the College and the Cranwell Aviation Heritage Centre at 1600L on Sunday 15th May.
Hope this is useful to someone.
