Former F-16 pilot arrested suspection of selling information

Post by wamovements »

A Fromer Dutch F-16 pilot was arrest on March 17 due to the fact he should have the intention of selling information to Belarus. He and a citizen of Belarus were both arrested in March.

Chris V. was coach of the F-16 demoteam in the period 2007-2009 and is also known for his dreamer actions concerning the reopening op Twenthe AB.

Pilot involved is Chris "Omelet" Vaneker (and yes unfortunately for him his full name is allready all over the news so don't start about privacy issues).

Apparently his company Air4rs was in financial trouble which prompted him to take these drastic measures.

But although there seems to be some quite some evidence against him let's not forget that one is still innocent until proven guilty.

Is it necessary to post, next to the name, the picture of this involved person on this site?
Site's enough for malicious pleasure?

If proven guilty-and it seems highly likely he will be-he has betrayed his country.

He should have considered any adverse publicity to himself prior to any criminal acts he has(allegedly) commited.

What is wrong in publishing a picture of a person who possible endangers his comrades in the armed forces/interests of the Netherlands. Nice comrade! He gambled and lost. Face the suck.

The man was all the happy when he was coach of the F-16 demoteam to see his face all over these kind of sites, so let's do him one last favour.

I guess you never heard of the principle "innocent until proven guilty"?
First wait and see what he is charged with and if he really has done something wrong before condemning him!

Just curious what secrets the man could have leaked..........
Is Belarus (Loekasjenko) willing to start a war, and might he therefore need
secret information of the Royal Dutch Air Froce ?? (I hope my sarcasm is understood).
Be serious, nothing special can be sold. F-16's hardware dating from the 70's, MLU software
I don't know but it seems to me it's only usefull for other aircraft-building companies, and
definitely not fot states like Belarus or Libya.........
Oh yeah, please let our Falcon's escort some Belarus Fencers !!!!

Yes, I have heard about that principle but I also know that the agencies involved won't publish something like this without any justification. That in some cases a Dutch court can not use this type of information because ''it was not legally obtained'' and the person involved is set free is another thing. Happens sometimes (unfortunately)

The lunatic that runs Belarus is a seriously nasty peice of work who rigged the last election and subsequently jailed the opposition candidates. He is more than willing to sell western secrets to the highest bidder,be thet Libya,North Korea or whatever.

Anyone spying for this regime in the west is compromising the safety of all allied military personell and needs to be dealt with appropiatly.

For those who wanna support him (or not) or just wave goodbye, he's apperently in her majesty's prison at Sweet Lake city.

mind you, it could be a small beer case in the end, just like capt. Marco K. or less.
wait and see.

You love your dutchisms, don't you? (Although you apparently forgot the real dutchism for that place is Sweeterlake.)

IMO capt K. wasn't charged for what Omelet is now being charged for. The offences filed against K. are a lot less serious, and if he wasn't awarded with the Willemsorde, nobody outside his personal friends, family and maybe colleagues had paid any attention to his case.

BTW interesting to know how O came in contact with the Belarussians, did they recruit him already at Radom '09?
