ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Corendon Dutch Airlines: first pictures

Post by phkza »

After spending 4 days in Dubai (there are worse things, extensive photoreport and logs will follow) we finally go all the paperwork ready and departed to Amsterdam with the PH-CDE. A trip report will also follow, but just a few shots for this moment.

#1 Some maintenance being done at Abu Dhabi.

#2 Banking over Dubai en route from Abu Dhabi.

#3 Welcoming committee at Schiphol.

#4 PH-CDE now has a name: Cornelis Haga, only applied to the other side just now.

Cornelis Haga was de eerste NL ambassadeur in het Ottomaanse Rijk. Toepasselijke naam!

What was the reason why you arrived over several hours late? Hope this is not a foreboding of things to come for CDA
(I was at the welcoming ceremony in Hangar 3).

Some crappy (phone) pictures taken from the other side.

True, the camera crew are the the nice people standing in front of the plane, screwing everyone's picture up :)
Program will probably be aired 2nd half of 2011.

There were lots of reasons why we were late. We were supposed to fly out on Tuesday, but there were difficulties with paperwork, trafficrights, they paintshop ran out of paint etc. But we made it ;)

Indeed, the entire trip was filmed by SBS6, the soap will air in the winter. Looking forward to it! :)
