Seems that 04196.0 is common channel fro AWACS to Ship

It is my first post, I am a beginner..... (but understand radio basics )

Actually lot of traffic on 16.160 USB. Mainly in french (Cyrano, Veilleur)
They just said (in french) " I am calling you on satcom"
Unfortunately I don't know on with channel, and, anyway, I have a very poor recetption on UHF Satcomm

25/3/11 21:10 - 23:57 RCH 1028/1029 working Ascension and Puerto Rico on 11175. Inbound Lajes. RCH 1028 generator problems, No. 4 engine shut down. Diversion airfield closed at 21:00. Not authorised to land at Lajes after 00:00, due runway work. Eventually diverted to LPAZ [Santa Maria]
