USA TRIP 2011: TEXAS
Hi All,
After my first trip in 2009 I was a kind of addicted to the enormous spotting opportunities in this great country so a next trip was planned soon afterwards.
This time I was armed with some better camera stuff which resulted in some nice pictures.
Our trip included a lot of base visits in the next States: OK, TX, NM, AZ, CA and NV.
After some busy days I am now able to post some more stuff:
1.
Enid RAP hosts some Vance machines during the weekend when the airbase is closed
2.
3.
4.
5.
More than 160 trainers were noted during a great base visit at Sheppard AFB
6.
Dyess AFB is a great place to spot, where do you ever see more then 20 B-1B's???
7.
8.
9.
10.
Also a visit was paid to JRB Fort Worth, nice to see USMC, USAF , USN and USAry on one base.
11.
Still a rare bird is this C-23C from the TX Army Guard based at Austin Bergstrom
12.
A beautifull F-16 from the guard of Texas which even visited Caslav some years ago.
13.
14.
15.
16.
17.
18.
Absolutely one of our highlights this trip was a marvelous visit at NAS Corpus Christi were a lot of white/orange birds were noted included the Coast Guard ans some nice visitors.
Hope you liked them again and some more pictures from the other States will follow soon.

I like the reflections in the sheet metal of the tails in picture 2.
And boy, do those exhausts of those T-34s stain the aircraft...

Re: USA TRIP 2011: TEXAS
Having been to the U.S. 15+ times I have visited more than half of the 50 contiguous states (+ Puerto Rico)... But I don't know which state 'AV' is!

The contiguous United States are the 48 U.S. states on the continent of North America that are south of Canada, plus the District of Columbia. The term excludes the states of Alaska and Hawaii, and all off-shore U.S. territories and possessions, such as Puerto Rico.
