USA TRIP 2011: RED FLAG 2011-3
Hi All,
After my first trip in 2009 I was a kind of addicted to the enormous spotting opportunities in this great country so a next trip was planned soon afterwards.
This time I was armed with some better camera stuff which resulted in some nice pictures.
Our trip included a lot of base visits in the next States: OK, TX, NM, AV, CA and NV.
First starting with some Red Flag 2011-3 stuff.
1.
The brand new VAQ-138 EA-18G Growlers from Whidbey Island were not expected in advance
2
The U.AE Vipers were still flying Green Flag sorties together with the SP and SW guys.
3
The racetrack still is the place to catch the birds coming in at runway 23 after doing right hand downwind, like this beautifull F-15
4
The HO deployment brought some rare T-38C's with them.
5
A lot of F-22A were present on the media day, besides AK, WA, OT , FF this HO was seen.
6
After our base visit at Selfridge AFB was cancelled is was a very welcome suprise to catch eleven A-10's from the at Nellis AFB.
7
The aggressors from 64th AGRS are flying a lot during Red Flags.
8
Besides all the fighter noise also some HH-60G's from 563RQG could be logged.
Hope you liked them and some more pictures of our trip will follow soon!!

Great shots Gijs! I like the first Hornet the most. And as always, no complains about the weather.
