Had a great day at Gilze-Rijen today. Many movements and much more beautiful photo oppotunities.
I fanally scored my 17th Cougar on photo. Finally got the S-444. Hope you like my shots.

Great shots! Is it normal to get Apache shots like that at the RWY10 end or were you lucky to get them up close like that (pics 1-3)?

Runway 10 was is in use. But the pics were taken at the side of runway 28, so indeed the end of runway 10.
With easterly winds and the Apaches are willing to take the first taxiway to the runway, you get opportunities like Alex did .
... so a bit of luck, sun and easterly winds.
My God EHGR must be a photographers walhalla .

Nice picture of the two Apaches... Same orange sky as in november 1986, when C-140B 12189 landed late in the afternoon @ EHGR. Same runway, other era

Yes sorry, that was what I meant..Hornet69 wrote:Hi DJ,

Uhh, now you're trying to confuse me?! (the spot along the Burgemeester Ballingsweg is probably a more clear description )Hornet69 wrote:so indeed the end of runway 10.
Thanks, I will keep a close eye on the weather forecasts next time!Hornet69 wrote:With easterly winds and the Apaches are willing to take the first taxiway to the runway, you get opportunities like Alex did .

Great eastern wind shots Alex! And a nice pre-program (voorprogramma) to get to the S-444.
My goal is to get the Apaches like you did. I hope the next holiday will make this possible.
