This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Thanks Erik, I just love that scheme and sure looks good with that lighting!elenten wrote:Hi DJ,
Hereby on what I got on China Lake. They arrived already on Thursday and I got there Friday. This one was taken on the ramps around 6.50AM hence the lighting is kind of interesting. Also some other shots during early morning.
Hope you like them, for some reasons the shots come out a bit soft so I need to figure out what I am doing wrong when I post them here.
Don't know why you're photo's are a bit soft, post-processing maybe?

My wording was inaccurate, the mighty Prowler just isn't the right subject for these colours in my eyes. And I am glad people feel otherwise, which means they did a good job over there.

Already seen some nice shots of this historical event. It was indeed an event worthwhile visiting, I had my doubts for the flypast because the deck was supposed to be 1000 ft. The reality was super with the marines taking the lead, never shot so many gigabites in 2 hours.. Here are some quick edits from the flypast. Hope you enjoy them.

Although it was a great event, it could have been more perpect if they had done some legacy flights and sent the air wing in 2 and 4-ships along San Diego Bay just like the rest. Well you cann't win them all nevertheless i had a couple of fantastic days with fantastic blue skies and 25 degrees Celsius in Februari is even warm for these parts. Last call.

Woooww...
I watched the parade from my hotel on the other side of the bay (didn't know the parade was planned, so nice surprice!).
The view on the show is a lot better here on Scramble!
Nice pics!
