Stop the Enemy and Arrest Them
A few days ago I joined the exercise at the GLV5 area. The goal was to stop an enemy vehicle and arrest the drivers!
An Apache was used to force the vehicle to stop by showing military force.
the Apache was hovering between the trees at a sheltered position. I had this picture in my mind for a long time and
now I had the opportunity to capture it like this. The Apache was waiting for the ground forces who arrived by Chinook.
The Chinook arrived a few second after the Apache. It made a rolling landing in the loose sand.
Soldiers of the 11th Air Mobile Brigade left the helicopter and took control over the situation
The Apache stayed in the area to protect the soldiers against enemy activity
The enemy was arrested. This person was a very wanted person for the coalition forces; a great catch
because an enemy key person was arrested
The soldiers left the area again by Chinook, they took the prisoner with them. The Chinook gave me a spectacular
fly by at the end of the exercise. It is one of my most spectacular Chinook shots ever.
