The winning number is D-665, the weather was not great.
I was around the corner so stopped for a quick look.
Ernesto could have volunteered for occupying the stretcher... the 50mm spotter is the airfield official, and the video for the local TV I think.
And lift-off
For Hilversum rather spectecular, I wonder how neighbours react (maybe they liked it as I do...)
Never felt so safe on my own homefield
For the atmosphere...

Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

NICE report, Flyboy! Thanks for sharing!
Very good to see at least someone with pics of this event. I presume the landings of 'big windy' at Hilversum were possible due to the frozen airfield...

Hmmm... There have been regular "full stops" at Texel made by Chinooks in the past. And then they were parked on the grass.ebauer wrote: I presume the landings of 'big windy' at Hilversum were possible due to the frozen airfield...
Isn't this possible at Hilversum as well
The footprint of a CH-47D can't be that "heavy", or am I missing something?

That's why hospitality (friendship) is part of Texel International Airport businessStratofreighter wrote:Hmmm... There have been regular "full stops" at Texel made by Chinooks in the past. And then they were parked on the grass.
