Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Yet another set of this year's photos: Meeting de l'Air in France - same weekend as Gilze-Rijen, just in slightly worse conditions :)

You are not keen on fancy editing (I recall), so what are these halos surrounding aircrafts on pics 1,7 11 and last ? Honestly I do not like it but no offense, just personal taste (I hope it is not my display going west :-)

==> after browsing the pictures on the mac, I confirm it is a display issue on my windows laptop. So never mind my remark.

Thanks for checking neverthless! This being said, if one looks *really* well and/or tries to stretch the contrast curve, you can see some kind of halos indeed. This is a result of the "Clarity" adjustment in CaptureOne, which does some-kind-of HDR under the hood - but is smart enough to put a cover-up once done

I use it in emergency situations like this, with gray skies, dark planes etc., to improve, well... clarity ;) of the picture. From my experience, compared to any other photo processing software, the C1 implementation is just magnificent. It takes really really good eye to notice anything... or a bad display
