Not as far as I know. If there are any, I think the planes will be rather high at those points! But I never really pushed hard to find them, I really like the hill!

A 300 mm lens is sufficient enough for an EF-2000 on the runway. A lot less for the taxitrack between the hill and the runway.

Prior to my arrival at Laage I noted a CH53, flying VFR few miles south of Rostock Town, and a Luftwaffe Cougar(white/blue) on approach to Laage, both unable to read or to take pictures of...

Hi Patrick,
Where did you see all those preserved aircraft (besides the F-4E as this can be seen from the spotters hill), or did you have a base visit?

Hello Ruud,Polleke_NL wrote:Hi Patrick,

It was a base visit. The MiG and Sukhoi are in between building near the maintenance hangar. The F-104 can be seen from the main gate. The G.91 is on the road from the main gate to the interior gate which leads to the airfield itself. 100 to 200 meters after that interior gate the Sabre is on the left side. The Phantom will be replaced by another one soon so do not forget to look again in a few months .
