Zhuhai Airshow 2010 first impressions
After spending my first day at Zhuhai I already upload some raw files to let you have some impressions from the show. Although the quantity is low, the quality is very high and a nice opportunity to view some frontline PLAAF Chinese Air Force jets. Next week when I return I will add some more. Enjoy!
1. impressive H-6 bomber at the static show
2. JH-7 Leopard at the static show (what a large fighter btw)
3. the new Y-8 ELINT version. They call it the KJ200
4. Pakistani Air Force is present with three JF-17 fighters
5. the main attraction: the 6 J-10's of the PLAAF Aerobatic Team
6. in formation
7. spectacular cross over
8. Pakistani Air Force K-8 of the Sherdils Team

Great stuff! If only they would bring this show forward by a couple of weeks, then I could so easily combine it with a business trip to China... .

The JH-7 is indeed a big fighter, I saw a whole bunch of them (unfortunately all with their front in covers) parked under sunshelters at Yiwu naval air base. And it looks a whole lot older than it actually is....It looks a bit as a crossbreed between a Phantom and a Jaguar.JH-7 Leopard at the static show (what a large fighter btw)

Slik ...
That's what I call nice catches. They should invite that demoteams to the RIAT in stead of the regular ones!

I was about to say the same thing, but the pictures are great! Nice to see aircraft that are not seen regularly.Stephan Lodewijks wrote: (Small correction to one of your captions: the KJ-200 is an AWACS platform, not ELINT)

Great types they have there! Can't wait to see more! And I am a little curious about the security situation, and
the way to work there.
