California ANG C-130J around Palmdale

Post by Gietje »

Flying around Palmdale, CA.
Does anyone know the serial of the aircraft?
I know 01-1461 carries a patch like that (next to the big 4), but I can't find recent pictures of this a/c to confirm this is actually 01-1461.

Can't you zoom in on the cockpit section to find the serial?

Thanks! So I was right after all.
I took the picture on the 20th of July 2010, so that must be it.

That was hard, since it was quite blurry. Took the photo while sitting in an RV on the highway going 100 km/h.

The '4' on the fuselage denotes the fire-fighting number , since some of the States in the U.S shy away from the older 'C130' fire-fighters , States like CA have asked the USAF to help out battle the annual fire-fighting season.
