Jimmy,
Be happy with these kind of pics. And a few weeks from now nine choppers will come to Leeuwarden for an exercise. So for you. Go get them now you are in the north.
Grtz,
Edward.
I think last year we were standing next to eachother .Unfortunately this year is it not possible to take pictures of the autumn colors at Gilze-Rijen, so one of last year ..
Nice pics guys!

Jimmy

Very short indeed Yorick. Before I knew it, you were gone again. You've got some good Chinook there. However, I would've cloned out the spot on the first.vuurwerkreeshof wrote:here some pics of a short visit to the slopes
Jimmy nice to see you following this topic. Edward proves with his 2009 pic how hard it is to get an exclusive shot, especially like last Friday, where many photographers ran from one angle to another with their stepladders in a relative small space. Including me by the way.
Alex, nice clean shots. In addition of what I said above, I see some resembles with my own photos. So, I try to post a distinguished second batch. Made a frame too, which I haven't use for a long time.
1. Probably the same Cougar Edward took into the sun. This one is from RW28. A friendly wave from the loadmaster.
2. Q25 approaching, just as I arrived at the slopes. Timing!
3. Cool Chinook pilot, doing a wheely.

So not a black Cougar but a grey one wiyh a touch of black .1. Probably the same Cougar Edward took into the sun. This one is from RW28. A friendly wave from the loadmaster
Nice set of pics you showed here Ben. .... and indeed difficult to have exclusive ones with so many photographers hanging around the fence.
Grtz,
Edward.

Re: sunny slopes 29/10/2010
Some good stuff shown above! I noticed that the gorgeous autumn colours doesn't really pop out at all pictures here. A little hint; try to increase the saturation (without making it unnatural). That will make them much more attractive.
To be honest; the angle shown by Edward and Jimmy from previous year is really the best you can get. Unfortunatly that pose wasn't available last friday I'll be back next year for that one
Needless to say that it's easier while photographing a hovering chinook than an apache making a high speed pass
Ciao

Ben; sometimes it happens by accident but most of the time I try to capture the blinking navlights. In my opinion it adds a bit extra to your photo. In that case I shoot a burst of 6/8 pictures to capture the light at the right moment. Shooting in burst mode enlarges your chance...Johan, always nice to see new people. I see you've got the navlights two times in your post. I myself was able to get just one over the whole series while I aimed for it.
