Tiger helo's to the rescue - CSAR mission in the field
Hi everybody,
Today we tried to catch the Tiger Meet helicopters in the heat of the action during their CSAR mission. The chase wasn't easy because of a last minute diversion, but we did manage to find them just in time. Circling the location of the "downed airman", we got some nice opportunities to photograph the Hind and Bell. The pilots did several nice passes towards our camera. Thanks guys, drop me a line at iwan@dappa.nl if you want your photos in large format or on paper. Your help was brilliant !!!
Hopefully we will get another chance to shoot the CSAR mission in sunlight. Just need to know where you are going next.
Cheers,
Iwan

Hi Iwan,
The shots turned out great! What a day it was, starting as a normal day at the office, driving to different spots with a time pressure on it resulting in a AB212 passing us at only 10 feet above the ground, top!

Wow, nice to see those choppers flying in a typical Dutch environment! You guys were very lucky to be there at the right moment and at the right place, that's for sure.

A bit low-ish. I guess it got pretty dusty, windy and noisy soon after you released the shutter ?DJdeRidder wrote:It was a pretty good day..

It was not a big deal, as it pulled up. The Bell 212 landing 5 meters from me in the sand was a big problem though..Stratofreighter wrote:DJdeRidder wrote:It was a pretty good day..
