Hello everyone I have heard rumors that the spotter's day 2010 tiger meet, given the lack of Dutch military personnel, will be open only for 400 people, giving priority to Dutch spotters. 'S true, are just rumors, if that were a big disappointment is really bad, I was not expecting the Dutch organization

I can't release my source. But preparations are being made by people at the airbase for such an event. Preparations are still in a early stage, so....

Saturday, 24 July 2010 Tiger Meet 2010 NATO Tiger Meet

We have been getting more and more questions every day from our Tiger Friends and Fans about public events during the 2010 Tiger Meet at Volkel, The Netherlands, 4-15 Oct 2010.
Here's what we know as of 23/07. Based on strictly Dutch decisions, there will be no public events of any kind on the weekend. There will be 2 spotters days (presumably one each week), limited to 500 persons each. The NTA, as represented on this Public website, has no, repeat no, information as to dates, costs, or how to order tickets. We understand the base is working hard to put the spotters day program together but again we do not know when or how the pertinent info will be released. We also have no information about Press/Media events or access. We suppose the Base Public Affairs Office will inform us when the plan is ready. Please do not direct your comments and questions to our webmasters.

Everybody, please (take a deep breath) and relax!

SGV is working with the KLu on two spotterdays for the NTM at Volkel. Because we are still busy organising this event, we can't make any more details known at this moment. In a couple of weeks we will!

Advanced info for who want to complain: we can't make a perfect spotter day for everybody. But we are working hard on getting the best possible result within the limitations we face!

But first Spotting Group Volkel, as the organiser, want to know which travel agencies have tours planned for this exercise. A quick scan resulted in the following list:

NTM 2010 Spottersday info

NATO Tiger Meet
We have today received news about the Spotters days during NTM 2010 at volkel. Here is what we know.

- 2 days planned, oct 7th and oct 13th
- Capacity 750 persons each day
- Cost is 20€ per person, including NTM 2010 CAP and sticker, parking and transport from parking to and from the base
- PR stands will be on location with Tigerstuff on sale from the participating Squadrons
- On base availibility of drinks and snacks at own cost
- Revenue from spottersdays will be presented to several charities
- Additional information will be available on the RNLAF NTM 2010 and SG Volkel websites

Hi all,

We are happy to announce the website Spotting Group Volkel created for the NATO Tiger Meet spotterdays on 7 and 13 October.

NOTE: For registration and base entry reasons, everyone has to purchase his ticket individually. Buying group tickets is therefore not allowed. When you are unable to buy your own ticket, someone else can do that for you BUT he has to sign up again with all your relevant details (for base entry!).

Since we only had three weeks time to set everything up, you will find all information about the spotterdays on the website, except for the link to the webshop. The webshop will open in a few days from now, so stay tuned! We will send another message as soon as the shop opens!

ONCE MORE: You can only buy one ticket at the time. If you need to purchase more, that is possible but you have to sign out after the first en reregister for the next, filling in all personal details of the next person. Good luck!

Bit confusing ... you pay for a ticket but than it says in the FAQ:

There are no physical tickets issued. So there is nothing to sent or be picked up.

So what about it? You just have to show your ID at the gate and you are in?

That's correct, as long as you are on the participants list, which is based on sold tickets!

Evening all,

Does anyone know if the start & finish times been decided yet? I know there's 2 months to go yet but I'll be booking flights from Ireland and I'm trying to see what my flight options are, the sooner I book the cheaper the flight.
