According to the Scramble database this one has been on strength since 2002 at least. So it has possibly been on maintenance somewhere in Europe.gustav wrote:Nice. this helicopter was delivered as EJC-388 on 02 August 2002 to Colombia; first noted with its new registration EJC-3388 in November 2009, also in Colombia. The parent unit of these helicopters is Batallon de Aviacion No.3 at Tolemaida. The Colombians refer to it as a Mi-17MD, which has slightly less powerful engines than their later Mi-17V5 models, which have similar looks.
I guess it has been (or will be) repaired in Russia, maybe after receiving combat damage. Note that the right-hand side-tank appears to be painted in primer.
