Santorini (LGSR/JTR) - 2010 MIL

Hi all,

I'm heading to Santorini later this year and was hoping to catch some Hellenic F-4's or anything else Mil while there. However I've been told that the HAF no longer deploy there, I have no reason to doubt this info, but everywhere I read, it mentions that the F-4's still provide alert status on the island. Can someone confirm weather or not the HAF still use the facilities at Santorini.

In 2005 i visited the island for a vacation, the F-4 detachment was flown back to Andravida just a few weeks before i arrived there, and they never return to that island. Everyday you can expect a C-130 and some fighters, mostly F-16's from Souda and Mir2000's. Only based aircraft is a AB-412.........
