Re: Reims-Champagne (LFSR) - 2010 MIL
I usually try to combine with a base, like Cambrai or St Dizier. But that's also not an option than. You can try the museum in Albert (only with prior arrangement) but that is also not really "around the corner"........or even the museum in Paris!

Arjan,
the museum in Paris will be nice but is to far away. I was thinking about some wrecks or stored/ preserved aircrafts on my way back to The Hague in Holland.
I will try my luck on my way back at Cambrai as well but i'm affraid the quit flying also real early?

Hi Ralph,
depends on what you're looking for..., at Reims Prunay Airfield there are a few interesting residents plus a preserved CM170, Cambrai has 2 Super Mystere's, a H-34 and 2 Mirage III which are visible from the outside, Chievres (BE) has a hunter, an F-84 and a Meteor, but it all depends how long you intend to drive and what direction you plan to drive in.., BE is crowded with W&R, I can send you a Google Earth file containing at least the Belgium W&R's (overview from 2007), if you're interested just drop me your email address by PM and I'll send that to you

They told us that it whas not okee to park your car near the fence and that we were not alloud to stand at spot 4 near the tower. If we just moved a bit to the old civil terminal everything whas fine.

Nice log Ralph, certainly with those visiting Tornados! I have understood that they pulled the 510 out of storage at Chateaudun quite recently.

Re: Reims-Champagne (LFSR) - 2010 MIL
After Colmar closed this one was stored at Chateaudun. It recently returned to active service at Reims (initially still coded 132-SL), so it is listed in the new MASR 2010.kmarrie wrote: F-1b 510/112-SL (this one is not in the military aircraft serial revieuw 2009??)
Yep, ER01.033 will be disbanded in June and ER02.033 will move to Mont de Marsan during 2011. Anyway, bad news..kmarrie wrote:I heard from a france spotter, that this june the first mirages will leave Reims after that only about 20 aircraft will remain. Than in may 2011 the base will be closed.

Re: Reims-Champagne (LFSR) - 2010 MIL
I saw 510 coded 112-SL at Reims 23-3-2010. It was never coded 132-SL and the one who reported this earlier on this messageboard was standing next to me that day...DJdeRidder wrote:After Colmar closed this one was stored at Chateaudun. ...but when 510 was taking off I was at the other side of the field. It was impossible to read the code, as you see on the picture, so I get it from a database....68-0037UH wrote:I saw 510 coded 112-SL at Reims 23-3-2010. 616/112-NX Mirage F1CR
