Amman - Queen Alia International (OJAI/AMM) - 2010 CIV

Post by ehusmann »

Amman is a very small field with an almost round terminal (but big extensions are being build). There are no views from the terminal building before you get to the gate (which you can only do about one hour before your flight leaves). And even when you get to the gate it is not much. Most of the below was read from the plane. Unfortunately we also arrived on and left from the northern runway, while the large number of stored aircraft (B707, B727 and L1011) are near the southern runway. I could see some tails while taxiing to the runway, but not much.

Our plane (EgyptAir) was parked between the Jordanian ones. Two more A340, some smaller Airbuses, an AF A320 and a completely white CRJ.900 were also present, but could not be read due to darkness.
