UK visit - Military (Cottesmore-Mildenhal-Northolt)
Been ages ago since I last posted on here.
During the last two weeks of march my missus and I have been in the UK to find a home for our oncoming move. Despite being across for practical reasons one could not leave the camera at home and I selfishly dragged the missus along for a few short photo sessions %)
First stop was Cottesmore en route to Scotland to visit friends. 45 minutes by the fence produce the below:
What a lovely place Cottesmore was. The 3-ship aircraft all made 3-4 Touch and go´s at different speeds and heights, on even hovering and bowing for the photographers. I loved the fact that the runway is so close to the low fence that one can litterally spit onto it :Yahoo!:
After an extended week end in Glasgow we drove to Wales. Weather was great leaving Glasgow (weird really %) ) but upon crossing into Wales the rain started. Next day I had a quick visit on top on Cad East stil in rain and with no aircraft in sight. I decided not to stick around and we headed to England again. Shortly after exirting Wales sun started shining :sorry:
On the way to our Hotel in Stansted I decided on a quick diversion past the Hall. Been ages since I was last at Mildenhall and got lucky with a few goodies in the 45 minutes I was there:
Not bad for 45minutes ehh? Light was a little tricky but I was well chuffed with catching the Awacs circuit bashing
Next was a pre-planned photo shoot; The Northolt Night Shoot. What a fantastic event this was. A BIG to the organisers.
Here´s just a few select shots all taken with use of my trusted beanbag. Damn hard work, but well worth it me thinks:
Well thats all folks. C & C welcome as always.
