REQ: spotting from the terminal in Changi / Singapore
Hi all,
This Tuesday I hope to land at Changi Singapore. Could anyone tell me if it is easy to find the spot inside the terminal to have a look at the military ramp with F50 and KC135s??
If I remember well from spotting reports this should be possible - but which part of the huge terminal...? Obviously I will arrive in the international terminal.
Thanks in advance,
Erik

Hi,
Today I talked to a English spotter who just arrived from Singapore. He told me that ONLY T2 has a viewing point. But you can only see 40% of the movements. Best way to go is Changi village.
I will go there tomorrow so maybe I can give you an update.

Hi Erik,
although new to this forum, I will try to assist you as much as possible. There are limited views from the terminal. Terminal 1 used to have a viewing mall where you good see some gates and taxiways. It's through tainted class, but it's an option.
The best spots are for landingshots for RWY 20R & 20C. Best place is along Changi Beach (near Changi Village), near carpark nmbr 3. This is from 2pm, but move along the water the ferry terminal and you'll keep the sun in your back. You can take a taxi or a bus (bus 19) from Tampines MRT station.
Hope this is of good use to you and happy huntings.... good I miss SIN.

There are multiple spots to see the military platform. There is one roof terrace, one of the few places where it's allowed to smoke. The Fokkers are quite easy to read, the tankers were impossible to read. Unfortunately, I don't remember the terminal numbers. Just look at google maps, to locate the mil platform, and find the right spot to see it from the airport. I did it that way, and it worked. And use the free train, cause it's a long walk through the terminal.
