Soesterberg RNLAF Open Day 19-06-1976, Fokker F-27-200MP Friendship (Fokker demonstrator) #PH-FCX
Re: Older civ collection
Pretty one, Rob. It's interesting that the US Army's Golden Knights have operated the F-27 type for a couple of decades now as the C-31A. Obviously it is very suitable for thier mission. I photographed a USN Friendship at W. Palm Beach, FL in the 1980s, though I'm not sure it ever had an official USN designation, it was overall naval gray c/s and markings. I'll try to dig it out, soon.
This shot shows N60AN prior to the Brockway colors. I believe this is msn 10514, ex PH-EXF, ex OB-R-1082. This is one of my favorite airliner photos.

Good evening,
Here is a nightshot, taken at Schiphol on November 16th, 1968. Visible are Douglas DC-9-15 of KLM and
Caravelle 10 OH-LSA of Finnair, just ready to depart.
Kind regards,
Peter

Re: Older civ collection
Superb photo, Peter. Nicely illuminated with even light, all around the ramp.
This one was on the hard drive, I'll need to get the when and where of it at a later date, though it's probably 1978 at Burlington, VT.

Here are three of Lockheed's stubby-winged Electra, all in the Eastern "Hockey-Stick" c/s, and all taken at Boston-Logan (KBOS) in the 1970s

Great contributions, guys. That's a wonderfull assortment of colorful Friendships, EC. Rob, that CP Air DC-8 rolling out is great-long row of spoilers on that wing!. I don't think I ever photographed that c/s, but it did resemble the CP Railroad's C/s quite a bit.
Delivered to the airline on 20 December 1966, DC-9-15 N1061T msn 45775 was one of 20 early DC-9s ordered by TWA. The airline did not place another order for the DC-9 until years later when the MD-80 technically
evolved version appeared. Photographed at Boston on 2 March 1974.
The DC-9-31 series represented the initial stretched version of the design, being 15 ft. longer than the previous models. Eastern put the first of its 72 new -31 versions into service in February, 1967. By the time
I photographed N8957E msn 47215 at Miami on 3 Aug 85, it was a true veteran of the airline's route system.

Re: Older civ collection
The colors on this Douglas product should seem familiar here. This is "Sir Isaac Newton", DC-8-53 PH-DCI (msn 45613) of KLM at JFK, 27 April 1974

Re: Older civ collection
Good evening,
Tom, I like those shots from your side of the pond, keep them coming. Here are a few Russian built aircraft.
1. Aeroflot Yak-40 CCCP-87732 at Schiphol on May 26th, 1969 while on its way to the Paris airshow (hence the show number)
2. Balkan Tupolev Tu-134 LZ-TUB at Schiphol on the same date.
3. CSA Tupolev Tu-104 OK-LDA at Schiphol on August 23rd, 1969.
4. Aviogenex Tupolev Tu-134 YU-AHI at Schiphol, also on August 23rd, 1969.
5. Tarom Ilyushin IL-18 YR-IML at Schiphol on May 15th, 1970
Kind regards,
Peter
