I'm normally not so much into the old stuff, but I like the design of the Staggerwing.

Re: How about some biplanes (triplanes are okay too.....)
My favorite biplane is the Pitts. There is something about it-it just looks right to me. Of course they are very small, and this makes them pretty hard to photograph. I have been fortunate in recent years in that the local airport (Hartness, N. Springfield, VT (KVSF) has one IAC aerobatic weekend each year, and I'm able to get out on the ramp (so far) and near the runway to get some fun pictures.
The Pitts 12 is different than its cousins, bigger, and with a radial engine
This Pitts 12 was photographed at Sun 'n Fun, Lakeland, FL

This one was photographed at the Simsbury, CT fly-in and antique auto show-a great event.

Guys,
nice to see so many biplanes coming by....
I am glad I a, not the only one who likes them..
Here is a photo of a less fortunate moment at Duxford...
The Dragon Rapide lost the canvas of her lower starboard wing, but is back in bussiness again!

Very nice collection of pics here.
Damage was not that bad. Flew in that same bird some weeks later.

I always say a boy can learn more at an airport than at any school.

Great idea for a thread!
If you say biplane, than Antonov An.2 has to follow. This beauty (sorry for the people in the background, but that could not be helped) was at Finow-Eberswalde on 10 May 1992.
Hans.
