Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

We were across 300 sq apron, on the south side of the runway, on a small hill.Eddie wrote:Very good shots! From what location/shelter where they all taken?
As you can see, the spot was very good for these easterly winds.

No you're not alone!!! All the other topics with the same pictures of the slopes.. and then the RNLAF topic... again the same pictures... Luckily it's not obliged to watch. Personally I can't understand why people want to post virtually the same pictures over and over again on several topics and even forums all over the world. Looks like "zelfbevlekking" to me.

Fortunately there are many people who do enjoy it. I am 1 . But I think this is the wrong place for such comments. I hope that it will be removed.Holloman wrote:The same choppers all over and over again, am I the only one who is bored??????????

I think we all wish we had more interesting photos to show. But even though weather conditions are great (if you're lucky), there isn't much going on to shoot. Next to that people are still happy that all KLu helicopters have moved from Soesterberg to Gilze-Rijen, so we now have opportunities to photograph our rotary wing fleet.........at last! And that is what's being done and posted. Makes you wonder why we don't see much about EHLW, EHVK and EHEH here at Scramble.
Personally I enjoy the Gilze photos very much, as EHGR has become one of my favorite photospots recently. Just too bad Wildenrath, Gutersloh, Hopsten and many other airbases have closed, we only have F-16's and Tornado's jets close by, and exercises like Reforger, TLP, rotations and european Coronet-deployments no longer exist. It's kind of a miracle that EHGR is experiencing a second life after all.
Cheers,
Iwan

Why don't we just stop shooting and posting. Because from every airport you see the same photos from different spotters, most of the photos that is.sharpshooter wrote:No you're not alone!!! Be pleased that we still have a change of shooting those aircraft anywhere in the world, and that we got the change of visiting a airbase. That we can, for most parts in the world, exercise our hobby with not much difficulty without being arrested or something like that.
Why can't we just enjoy aviation.
Cheers, Michel

Nope, unfortunately no Apaches that afternoon, they only flew in the morning. I believe there was one scheduled for an FCF , but that got cancelled.
