Brussels Airlines is now codesharing on Air Malta flights from AMS - Malta.

In preparation for turning all NWA flights to Delta flight numbers, DELTA begins codesharing on all NWA flights out of AMS from the first week of January 2010.

DELTA will place its “DL” code numbers as follows:

- Amsterdam – Boston DL6255 = NW231

- Detroit – Amsterdam

Note the codeshare flight numbers out of Seattle and Portland will see another change from 30JAN10.

NWA and Delta have received a Single Operating Certificate from FAA on 31 December 2009. This will result in the full integration of NWA flights into Delta. This has the following impact on KLM flights:

From the first week of January 2010 KLM will no longer codeshare with NWA but only with Delta.

Some changes per 31st January in the DL/NW-story:

All NW flights will change to DL-prefic per this date, so e.g. NW265 will be DL265. Few exceptions are:
NW253 Detroit-> DL272
NW791 Newark-> DL35
NW763 Portland-> DL179

Sure about that one. Seems to be an "even" number, while 253 is "oneven" ?

No I dont think thats the reason, beacause the other NW/DL outbound flights to the states are odd numbers

Sorry guys, but is loaded like this. I agree, no logical way of flightnumbering.. (NW40/39 will be DL252/272)

About the date: officially 31st January for the cut-over but indeed various dates are loaded now.. Let's wait and see..

Starting 1 February 2010, Great Wall Airlines is planning to introduce a new 2x/week B747-400F route from PVG to AMS via Chennai and Milan. Overall frequency will rise from 6 to 7 flights per week.

The new departure wil be each Monday:

Flights operated upto 31 January remain NW flights, from 1 February AMS will see DL flights only.

This is just an addhoc charter flight and is not a new scheduled service...
