Re: Nightflying Volkel 09-12-09
The preceding pictures already implied it...It was a rainy & dull weather at the time of taking the pictures at Volkel.
From one hand it was making the situation difficult in order to manage to take a good picture. On the other hand it gives extra glare on some parts of the photo.
Nevertheless, I would like to share some pictures with you with next ones I made:

Some great pics you guys made yesterday, keep them up!
Is the J-015 being used as a normal fighter now?

Sven

What we heard yesterday was that they wanted to fly the J-015 to Leeuwarden. But since Leeuwarden was closed it returned to Volkel. This all happened yesterday evening. Correct me if I'm wrong.Sven van Roij wrote:Some great pics you guys made yesterday, keep them up!

Hi guys,
Very nice shots! I was there to yesterday, embedded with 313sq.
The weather was dry but when the early evening wave started also the rain started again but nevertheless the boys from 311/313 and 312sq did a great job to fly more than 12 different F-16s!
The J-015 will go the Leeuwarden they will take over de F-16 Orange-demo for the next two years...
Regards,
Maurits

Re: Nightflying Volkel 09-12-09
Hi,
Some shots of mine, starting with J-866 in take off in a grey and almost rainy sky.
J-009 was this evening ''our plane'', with a very friendly pilot. He flew that evening 1v1 missions against Lakenheath Eagles...
Here it returns from the first wave and is pulled back into the hangar by a crewchief.
J-009 is waiting for the nightmission..
Two minutes before taxi out....
Some J-009 nightshots in front of the shelter.
After the mission the AN/ALQ-131 + Litening pod were removed. The viper was picked up by a small tractor that pulled him to the wash hangar.
Regards,
Maurits
