It's not so difficult to find out who's coming to Dijon, it is Prince Khalid Bin Sultan Bin Abdulaziz.

I've just found these pics of the F-15D on a french forum. It clearly shows 800117 on both the ejection seat. However, Scramble database is refering this FMS serial to the 619, instead of 533. A previous mispole, a case of swapping around ejection seats, or do the F-15's really change serials every now and then?

Cheers,

533 is ex 619 (FMS 80-0117) as reported by the Saudi AF Eagle update in a previous copy of Scrmable magazine (last year I think). I guess the database hasn't been updated to reflect this!

If anyone else gets on base, can they check the other ejection seats as they are not normally swapped between aircraft.

One of the mirages that was towed inside a hangar could be read of from a picture and is 59/102-EV.

Dijon-Longvic BA 102 12 Oktober

Had a great time yesterday at Dijon trying :D to get the Saudi`s in the sun.
The weather started out nice with sunshine, but later turned into lots of clouds with some rare sunny intervals.
For the afternoon mission we went to the fence next to the taxiway and we were lucky and unlucky.
First the sun came out at the right moment again, just when the first F-15`s came to a hold at the runway.
They were followd by 3 Mirage`s and 2 more F-15`s and at that point our luck ran out.
The base security told us to stop making pictures, because that is forbidden and that he would call everybody`s friend the gendarmerie :wink: .
So we did but as he was driving to the other spotters i made some more pictures and dashed off quickly.
After that we didnt see the sun anymore and the light was getting worse.
We waited for the aircraft to return from there mission and we had a very nice surprise in the form of a Saudi BBJ.
After the last eagle had landed we went home at 3 o clock with a very satisfied day coming to a end.

All noted between 08:34 till 15:00

Thanks for the reports from 12oct09,
but one shows Alpha Jet E151 as code 2-FD
and the other report as 102-FD.
Which is the correct version ?

80-0117 was indeed delivered to Saudi-Arabia as 619 but was later reregistered to 533. See (Saudi-Arabia) DB:-

619 (1) F-15D 6sq mil to 533 80-0117
533 F-15D 5sq act 80-0117

Concerning the F-15Cs, please check the information first before you copy things. Above are the old ty-ups (3 were reregistered while 1 was written-off !).
(see also scramble DB):-

505 (1) F-15C 5sq w/o w/o 31oct99 80-0104
505 F-15C 5sq act apr88 80-0079
* I believe the noted date of the second 505 (80-0079, apr88) is not correct as the first 505 (80-0104) crashed in 1999 (I don't think two 505s were operational at the same time, a slip of the finger?)
512 (1) F-15C 5sq mil to 1309 (2) 80-0089
512 (2) F-15C 5sq act 80-0072

506 (1) F-15C 5sq mil to 1304 (2) 80-0064
506 (2) F-15C 5sq act 80-0082

510 (1) F-15C 5sq mil to 3401 80-0087
510 (2) F-15C 5sq act 80-0084

501 F-15C 5sq act sep92 jun01 80-0078

I agree that if people have the opportunity to check the old US serials, please do.
The picture should be:
501 = 80-0078 Upd:(confirmed, thnx Stephan)
505 = 80-0079 Upd:(confirmed, thnx Stephan)
506 = 80-0082 Upd:(confirmed, thnx Rob)
510 = 80-0084 Upd:(confirmed, thnx Rob)
512 = 80-0072
533 = 80-0117 (confirmed)
Who could confirm/deny the others?
