EBBL Tigermeet 15 September 2009
My impression of a quick morning visit to EBBL. The weather/light condition changed every once in a while, due to overcoming clouds, pics are not in order of appearance:
I am correct, is the blue in the camouflage of this Mirage different then it used to be (more grey tone)? Noticed this also on my other pics, already tried to change it with PS, but this is as I think the real color as shot.

You can walk along the parralel runway were all the planes are parked.....it will be one big spot for good pictures.
If you have enough mm's you can also take pictures on the runway.
Just go there, no worries and have fun
See you on Friday

1. can you confirm that all of the aircraft or most of the aircraft will be parked on the parallel runway as they fly out of the shelter area during this weeks missions as I am right informed? Don't shoot me if I am wrong and hopefully I am wrong but I was told there will be only a static display on the parallel runway and the flying part is from the shelter area at the other side of the runway. Once again hopefully I am wrong...
2. can you confirm that the grass - if there is any - is not too high to photograph decently on the runway? Same question for the parallel runway... I can remember events from previous years that steps are needed to have the landing gear not hidden behind grass, that's why this question...
cheers Jeroen
BTW if it isn't possible to take pics on the runway it is definately possible to take pics during (mostly spectacular) take offs
Have fun... and enjoy the 'Indian Summer' this Friday!!! I will...
cheers Jeroen

I do hope most pilots will show their uppersides during takeoff and not roll away to the right just after takeoff. I hope someone from (or close to) the KeeBee team is reading this forum too and can relay that message

Hi...
If you want to know for sure, call the base...
Question 2: Ask the gardener, maybe he knows...
Just think of it that we are lucky that we are allowed on the base (although we pay for it)...

Question 1: I have visited several spotter-days at KB and on all these occasions, the planes were parked on the parallel runway and sorties were flown from there.jeroen wrote:1. can you confirm that all of the aircraft or most of the aircraft will be parked on the parallel runway as they fly out of the shelter area during this weeks missions as I am right informed? Re: EBBL Tigermeet 15 September 2009
Of course I consider myself very lucky that KB is organizing such an event for us... and yes based on all the previous ocassions - I had my first one on KB in 1985(!) - the aircraft were parked on the parallel runway but I just want to know if Mirage 69 could confirm it as I heard a different story this year...Zipper wrote:Hi...

Re: EBBL Tigermeet 15 September 2009
Hi there,
i can not confirm that the situation is the same as last years....
Think that the pictures from the shelterarea are normal because during operational days they will keep the parralel free...(just in case off situations that blocked the runway)
About pictures on the runway...I don't know how high the grass is.
KB won't be KB if they arranged it well for friday.....

Re: EBBL Tigermeet 15 September 2009
Yesterday the fences were already in place and the 'spotters corner' was completely gone. The only place to stay was along the secundary runway. Not sure if they will change this for Friday. There was no static yet, but there were fire extinguishers about every 30 meters so that might indicate there will be a static or start up from the second runway. If not, you will surely see all aircraft taxiing in front of you after landing, like they did yesterday..

Re: EBBL Tigermeet 15 September 2009
Thanx for the update...
I saw indeed pics of fences between (parts of?) the parallel runway and the main runway and I also heard that the spotters corner like the previous years will be 'different' this year but we have to see for ourselves... Anyway the weather will be perfect, the quality of the participating aircraft is from a high standard so I can't think of any reason why tomorrow won't be succesful!!!
Enjoy and have fun!
cheers Jeroen
