Hi all.
Here are a few shots from this week. The weather conditions were appalling. I very much hope you like the shots.
I love my Eagles...

Amazing pictures, again!
I would love to see the action myself!
PS: Strange vortices on the second shot...
Best regards,
Walter

Not really, these effects came from the Eagle flying a short distance in front of the pictured Eaglewvanbel wrote: PS: Strange vortices on the second shot...

Thank you very much. I sincerely appreciate it. Watching an Eagle turn the corner at The Loop really is a special experience.

Dude!, nice stuff!... Stop please!
(NO!, more more...) Somehow this is the second best possibilty of shooting Airplanes, apart from air-to air shots. And then still; this actually looks like hard balls on fire action shots.. I think you live in the neighbourhood? That is wack dude..! If you catch a Superhornet or Raptor, don't tell me ok? (shiversszzzzzzz......) (That would be cool wouldn't it... )
I like your 7th shot. (Please number your shots ok...?) Sharpness is looking good, only some shots have a different looking color haze, just as if the white balance is not completly correct.
Greetz,

That is my favorite shot as well.Andras wrote:I like your 7th shot. (Please number your shots ok...?) Sharpness is looking good, only some shots have a different looking color haze, just as if the white balance is not completly correct.
The colors of the scenery in Wales are just breath-taking. As for the different color cast - this is what the place looks like. In one panning burst you can have mist, fog, sunshine, and rain rendering the colors of the scenery and aircraft completely different from one shot to the next. The landscape, visibility and sheen changes for every frame shot. It is also worthwhile considering that this series is compiled from three different F15 passes. It only takes but a split second for the light to change completely.

I can't pick a favourite one, so I just decided to pick them all. Very good bunch, looks like you actually need appaling weather to make the most of it. That is some vapour in most cases!NFLineast wrote:Hi all.

Well done and please don't stop posting!
EDIT: I see you shoot with 400 mm. What lens do you use?
Hans.

Hi Hans,
thank you very much for your kind words. These were shot with the 400/2.8 VR.
