The first Dusseldorf-day in August....
Spent a very pleasant day at DUS today, along with many "landgenoten" (fellow Dutch..)
The weather was a bit mixed over the day, but the temperature was nice, as were the visiting aircraft..
Our Romanian friends with a Saab 2000...
"I hope we'll get some Air Berlin today..."
No day at DUS without bizzers... even in the weekend..
Bestair's TC-TUB visitied Dussy twice today..
Polizei auch dabei.. Usually during a day at Dus, one gets a nice police helo as bonus... DHNWO returning from an einsatz..
The Kreuzfahrten that isn´t Kreuzfahrten... Titleless DATUF...
The ´EcoJet´, Greener than green can be, SibirS7 A/319...
In the midafternoon the weather turned a bit faul, nice visitors continued to show up though, like this Aerosvit 737...
No ´real´ SAS today during my visit, but this one at least says it´s flying for them...
B and H sent their ATR, hadn´t been to Dus since this service started, so a nice new catch....
can´t help but thinking it´s a Transavia in the early eighties..... Germania going green...
for a while , it was doubtful if Pronair would show up.-... thankfully, they did!
another Polizei, this time an EC.155...
a few days ago there was pic of four or five CRJ´s... During the afternoom , seven aircrfat remained on the ground....Crazy, but it makes a nice pic, and a good chance to check how the titles are sprayed on the a-c.....
.
A former Lufthansa airframe returning to home-soil... SX-BKX used to be D/ABKA back in the nineties...
I was already packing my things when this one came in...
Grtz

Superb quality and selection. Miss the days when airliners like Greenair (Tu134/154) , Holiday Air (A320) where all over Dusseldorf , those days will never come back. Nevertheless nice shots.

Thanks for pointing it out, here some of the omissions....
Here the Skywings, actually it came twice yesterday....
also a nice one, as Atlas Blue will or has ceased to exist... get them while u can...
Orenair now is a regular at Dus, for me it was the first time.. (I know, should go there more often..)
Some hoped for the French registered aircraft, I was glad it was the EP one as I always got the F- one.....
Croatia sent both the Star alliance (9A-CTM) as this one, the 9A-CTJ
Hope I got it all covered now...

Re: The first Dusseldorf-day in August....
Whilst editing yesterdays pictures I noticed that D-ACPH had some modest "50 Jahre" titles on the lower front fuselage, only on the port side... Does anyone know the story behind this? Are there more a/c with these markings?

Re: The first Dusseldorf-day in August....
Yes, there are more. It is to celebrate the 50th birthday of Lufthansa CityLine, although Lufthansa is very creative when it comes to calculating. In 1959 OLT started flying, being renamed in 1974 to DLT. In 1978, Lufthansa started participating in DLT and from 1988 DLT exclusively flies for LH. In 1992 DLT was renamed Lufthansa CityLine and in 1993 LH became 100% owner of the company.Polecat wrote:Whilst editing yesterdays pictures I noticed that D-ACPH had some modest "50 Jahre" titles on the lower front fuselage, only on the port side...
