Re: Fighter Town Wittmund today
we arrived together with the clouds... but just in time for the Challenger...
and the next visitor, D-HEGC......
Didn't see a single F-4 taking off... luckily all eight F-18's flew, and F-18s in humid dark skies are always nice...
meters-long trails, so typical Hornet...
and J-5232 returning from a Sidewinder live firing excercise.....
and the next visitor, D-HEGC......

Re: Fighter Town Wittmund today
as promised some more pictures of last tuesday
1. F-4F with some extra colours
2. A very busy day with lots of activity
3. 2 Hornets on their way to the final checks
4. Landing A-4 Skyhawk in poor light conditions
5. Two Hornets operated from the shelter area
That's all for now, hope you enjoyed the pictures as much as I enjoyed this nice day at Wittmund. The morning gave perfect weather with lots of sun, but in the afternoon, clouds and rain came in, but only after the return of the first wave of 8 Hornets. The guards were very active and send several spotters away from the fence, but the only problem we had was getting on and off the slippery hill.
