This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

My aviation vacation of 2009.
Every year, I go down to England with my dad to get my airshow doseage. In previous years have only gone for a week and a bit, this time we did 16 days, these image are just a preview, will upload more from each day when I get the time.
Day 1 - RAF Waddington Air Show, 5th July.
Day 2 - RAF Waddington Air Show Departures/RAF Coningsby, 6th July.
Day 3 - RAF Lakenheath, 7th July.
Day 4 - RAF Lakenheath, 8th July.
Day 5 - RNAS Yeovilton/FAA Museum, 9th July.
Day 6 - RNAS Yeovilton Arrivals/Rehearsals, 10th July.

Thanks guys, I did indeed have an extremely enjoyable 16 days, bumped into many old and new faces, saw some great action, tough decisions, challenging conditions and unpredictable weather; the great british summer as I know it. Would I do it all over again? Hell Yeah!!

Nikon D50 - Old and lowish resolution, but a classic camera.
Lenses...Most is Tamron 70-300 f4-5.6, again, cheapy lens but seems to do the job, shots become even sharper when apeture raised to f8.
For static i use Nikkor 18-55 f3.5-5.6
