Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Ok.
Here is a picture of yesterdays 'guest' at 'De Vlootdagen 09'.
It was there when i passed by, so it's a telephone/mobile shot.
Image
Also took 2 detail shots.
First the Flir pod.
Image
And Second the Nose part with Sea anchor.
Never knew it is on those helicopters.
Image
I hope it's good enough for you people, it's my first picture entry here.

Today I was there again.
The Sikorsky from yesterday had left that evening.
But.....
When the wind calmed down a bit, the NH90 came in !
(Around 11.30 Lt.)
It's the second one if i'm informed right.
But it had no Dutch Decals (text) yet it seems.
It was getting ready for take off, so I made a quick circle around it.
Again Telephone/mobile pics.
(sorry)

Image
Nose stuff, antenna's and probes.
I think the Flir pod is missing here.
Image

Image
The escape/emergency hatch ?
Image
Some antenna's on the tail section, and part of the folding tail.
(For use on ships and small spaces ?)
Image
Tail part with again antenna's and stuff.
Image

Image
The registration number, and the folding mechanism.
Image
A sneak through the window.
Image

Well, I think this was the closest I will ever be on a machine like that.
And please correct me if i'm wrong with the details.
I'm not that familiar with all that Avionics stuff.
After I took the pics, we were asked to leave and a few moments later (around 16.00 Lt.) the NH90 took off !

(No pics of that, my phone was in video mode  )

It seems I was lucky with those shots.
Today there was a fence around the NH90.
(Not that far, 3 or 5 meters I think.)
