FOX1@ REIMS
During the practice display of the rafale, i got myself on the opposed side of the tower, just outside the fence. I had to hurry to get some pictures, movement in the corner of my eye , and there behind some tree's was a large trap, and inside this little fox; looking utterly petrified at me. This trap was a large rectangular construction, with classic guillotine doors at both sides.
I'm from the city and i know most people in the "country" really can't be bother about a fox.
I knew this was'nt my business, and continued to make more pictures of the rafale display. When that was over i had another hard look; the poor little fox couldn't hide and tried to be as flat as possible. looking through my tele i noticed those desperate eyes of the trapped animal, and made my decision; if a fox has to die he has to die; but it's not gonne be today!
Carefully, and aware that the fox itself could be the bait i closed in on the large cage, and lifted its door just high enough. At first the scared animal was afraid, and then it swiftly ran to the nearby bush.
I did make a picture, but just to remind myself, and wasn’t really paying attention; hence the out of focus shot.

Don't know how large the hassle is out there but here in my neighbourhood I would have let it in it's cage

I agree with Remco and I think it is even allowed to hunt foxes in The Netherlands. On the other hand, seeing the entrapped animal makes your decision quite understandable.
Re: FOX1@ REIMS
Respect Kingtrigger, A great job. Probably would have done the same because imho it is a wonderfull creature. I know not everybody is amused by it's presence but hé That sometimes happens to me as well. At least the animal escaped with a lesson learned and perhaps a great story to tell his friends. Just like you did.

Very good Job. In my hometown we have a lot and lot of hassle of these animals.....but I also would do that. Because why are they not allowed to invade our territories, when we are invading there territories and build everything we want.
Well done.

Totally agree, if we can not live with the number of foxes we have now, then we are during something wrong I think.KIER wrote:Very good Job. Re: FOX1@ REIMS
the photo is great, the fence is accidently in focus instead of the fox, but which makes the pic just that bit stronger.
