Acoording to a T-6 Squadron commander at Kalamata a T-6 Texan will participate, most likely on static display.

Question from a firstcomer:
Looking at the plan, we are situated on the north side, not the best for photography.
Could anyone help me with pointing out the best spot for photography of the aircraft taxiing to and from the show?

Thanks!

In 2005 it was well arranged, at the spottersday you could go to the south side of a taxitrack. (still at the northside of the runway)
Static could be visited before they placed fences around the airplanes (groups of 2 a 3 planes).
Flightlines could be photograped in the early morning.
Hangar with the A-4's was totally sealed(with newspapers) after some spotters tried to look through some small windows in this hanger.
But stay focused, the hangar will not be closed whole day, we managed to read off a few more A-4's.
And if I remember well behind the hangars besides of the tower(CEV) are a few stored Mirage 3's. It was a no go area but the bus driver took the wrong way.....
There is also a gendarmerie department at Cazaux they were also flying missions, I saw three As-350's but the helikopters are not outside whole day. After a mission the helo will be pushed inside!

Airshow will be with backlight...and far away...
But remember Cazaux is a base were you can't see much from outside so enjoy these kind of days!!

What Dutch F-16 arrived minutes after the orange F-16?
Which Mirage F1 was the one in the black special colours?

We were driving past the field when they arrived.

Thanks.

Hi Lex,

260 is the Mirage F1.

F-16's J-015 and J-016 arrived together. The others arrived late afternoon.

Another question. We were at spot 2 of the scramble airfield guide and saw an Alpha Jet.
It was head on so that prevented us from reading it. Anyone got an idea on a serial of this one?
Behind it was an EC-120 of the Spanish AF.

Thanks.

There were two Alpha Jets at that location (most northern part of western flight line): E51/314-AD (right from spot 2) and E53/314-LI (left) E53 had a big "2" on the starboard engine cover. E51 went flying just after 15.00 hrs.
