Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Re: EHAM 01-06-2009 Phototopic
Thanks!
Where do you think it goes wrong with your pictures?
Do you have an example? (Maybe something for an other topic?)
I've used these settings on my EOS 350D & Sigma 70-300 + Polarisation Filter:
- Manual Mode
- 92 mm
- f4.0
- ISO 100
- 1/2000 (fast shutter means less blurry pictures, although with less light pictures may become dark(er))
- RAW
- AF set to Single Shot
- Burst mode
- Metering Mode [*] (top one)
Camera Raw (some settings are default/auto applied):
- White Balance: Daylight
- Temp 5500K
- Tint +10
- Exposure + 1.65
- Recovery 9
- Fill Light 8
- Blacks 3
- Brightness +3
- Contrast + 50
- Clarity + 17
Hope it helps!
(Settings have to be adjusted according to environment)

Got the same set as you. If the thing that goes 'wrong' is the sharpness of the pictures, The cause is proberly the filter. It makes sure the pictures get from a little bit sharp to unsharp due to the extra layer of glass.
