Miami in May - Arty Farty style
Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

The 727 and the American Triple 7 are poster material!
Got anymore?

I must say I enjoyed these ones much more than the 'standard' ones you posted!!! Have been viewing them a couple of times already, they are much appreciated!
One comment/opinion: the black&white pics have less impact than the color ones, it did not really work imo. The planes are a bit too much blended in with the dark clouds.
You had great weather btw!

Corné

I'd rather depict atmosphere and the 'heat of the moment' making a catchy photo than to reflect the real situation and real colours showing a boring photo.

Wow, very nice pictures!
Re: Miami in May - Arty Farty style
I like your idea of Arty-Farty! It's indeed what I think is Arty, just thinking about lighting, colors and compositions and it's clear you did with these pictures. They're not the standard side-on landing shots and I like that!

Re: Miami in May - Arty Farty style
Thanks for all the nice feed back chaps
I personally love black and white which is one reason some of these are "colorless". Another reason is that for some of them the sun really hadnt turned orange enough to give those type of "fire in the sky"-images. Its a good point that some of them blend in a bit with the clouds (although it was something I tried avoiding).
BTW these images were all shat on day1 in MIA (along with the standard ones). I will add more as I get them processed
Cheers,
Egon/CPH

Re: Miami in May - Arty Farty style
Actually, if I have to choose one I like most, I'd go with the head-on black 'n white A330. Looks very dramatic! Is it possible to upload that one in color as well? Might be nice to see the difference then.
Re: Miami in May - Arty Farty style
You know how to build up the suspense....
The first ones don't really do it for me..
But the last ones are great!
