Isn't this one on the left side if you drive from Hoek van Holland to Rotterdam???
Nope, I referred to the motorway with which I meant the A20, from which she's on your right side driving from HvK to Rotterdam. With Maasdijk I referred to the village, and not to the road called Maasdijk, but if you look from that road she's indeed on the right side as she's located in between these 2 roads.
In order to avoid further misunderstandings; the approximate location is 51˚57’27.03”N - 4˚13’35.33”E

Yesterday I drove by the Kessel location (Napoleonsweg).

Beside some former Polish MiG-21's I saw a Mi-2 and Mi-8, both in green/brown colours. Didn't see these aircraft (in those colours) before in Kessel of Baarlo.

It might be this one ...... but it certainly had other colours. It is offcourse possible that it is repainted.

No, it is not this one. I checked both sites last sunday (from the air!) and the 93+09 is still in these colours in Baarlo. There is indeed a green Mi-8 together with a green Mi-2 in the storage area in Kessel. There is also a green Mi-2 in Baarlo. I think these are new arrivals and serials are not known by me. Anyone??

Saturday I drove past the Kessel location (Mi2, Mi-8 and some Polish Air Force MiG-21's). Unfortunatly I had no time for a stop. There are remains of a serial visible on the Mi-2 tail. Couldn't read them while driving. The Mi-8 is without a tail and with some former NVA (East German Air Force) markings.

Hi,

As already stated earlier in this thread, no visits on Saturday mornings were possible due to removal and reconstruction works.
But does anybody know when those visits will be reinstated again?

TIA,

Hans

Hi Hans,

Maybe this has to do with plans for re-locating the collection :?: :?

I heard that the owner is looking for a place to build a museum. I guess about a year ago, I read an article in the local newspaper that the owner was looking for a museum location near Toverland Sevenum. Since that article I didn't hear anything about it ....

Last year I send him an e-mail with the question for a tour with a bunch of aviation enthousiasts. He told me there would be no tours untill further notice on his website.

Checked the site in Kessel today:

The Mi8 is green and has very faded NVA markings on the fuselage and on the tail 925 in white.
It's on it's wheels again and the main rotor is mounted. No tailrotor.
The Scramble database makes this one c/n 10542 ex 93+11, NVA925 ex Hatten.

The Mi2 is also green and has some kind of registration leftside on the tail, very faded and worn of. Couldn't make anything of it. Looks like some code with 5 or 6 digits.
Inside this helo, on the righthandseat were some spares with the number 501 painted on it and a dataplate with 56.91.795.00.00 attached.
It's also on it's wheels with the main rotor and tailrotor mounted.
Can't find anything on this machine.

Looks like these machines were outside for a very long time.

The four ex Polish Mig21's were also present and in the back, behind the building, were the remainders of Starfighter(s) and the Streak and maybe more. Didn't check these out.

Hope it helps
