Sorry for the delay but as promised in the previous part of our Swiss trip now it was finally time to do our job at Payerne. And it was worth it. As we mentioned before, it was not untill Thursday that week that the Wiederholungkurs took off.
Again at 8am we parked the car near the runway and waited, but this time we did not have to wait that long as 5 min past 8 oclock the first 2 F5s roled to the runway. It is amazing indeed that they come so close.
Weather improved drastically and we got sun, sun and sun. That was a nice change from the rainy days before. The sun and some clouds left behind gave a beautifull morning atmosphere. The rest of the day was just great fun. F18s and F5s taxiing out 4 times on both sides of the field! We tried some different places as the one on the east side gets a bit boring halfway the day, only the sun does not turn that fast enough that it is perfect on the other side... you have to wait untill 4pm or so. I realized it is not really an advantage to have a sunny day... well WTH are we complaining about!!
A great day at the repetition course at Payerne. The next day we stayed untill 1pm as we still had to drive back to Holland that day, but it was enough.

Towing F5s around? NO, transporting dead bodies!!!!
In the end we actually did have a great week in Switzerland! And we got everything: rain, sun, fog, clouds, mountains and F18s at Meiringen, choppers at Alpnach, and full activity of F18s and F5s at Payerne!
C&Cs welcome!

I'd rather depict atmosphere and the 'heat of the moment' making a catchy photo than to reflect the real situation and real colours showing a boring photo.

A little heavy on the saturation, for both of you. A bit more sharpeness in your shots (Maarten) would make them a lot stronger. I love the compositions you guys are presenting: lots of variation and a good impression of the action.Maarten wrote:Comments are welcome

Indeed, thanx for the comments and hope you enjoyed our report as much as we enjoyed looking back on our trip!
@Erik: its of course a personal taste, on the saturation. But I can agree here and there I may have overdone it a bit. though I like a bit more saturation than standard obviously! Thanx anyways for poitning out!
